Data Migration from PMI to AMOS

Situation

In 2014, Oman Air decided to implement a new MRO software system. They were looking for a third party who was knowledgeable about database structures and the migration of aircraft data to conduct the migration from their AS400 database (PMI) legacy system to their new system.

Solution

Oman Air decided to contract EXSYN to conduct the data migration as a managed service. Next to the data migration, EXSYN conducted a fit-gap analysis, data cleansing, and a mass-data update by using its data processing tool NEXUS to ensure high data quality in the new MRO software system. NEXUS was also used to establish requested reports to provide detailed insights into the business performance of Oman Air. During the project, EXSYN engaged with Oman Air in the performance of a physical inventory audit of their warehouse and the phase-in of their newly delivered Boeing 787 aircraft.
